Imagine your employees walk up to a vending machine that stores tooling (Drilling tools, Screw Cutting tools, Cutting tools with indexable inserts, Indexable inserts), indirect materials, maintenance parts, kits, electronic components and any sort of consumable materials such as protective gloves, protective glasses, ear plugs ( Protective Personnel Equipments ) . Once the employees have been identified at the vending machine by using a simple magnetic stripe card, they can select the items they need to complete their tasks. In few seconds the vending machine will dispense the selected items. Each item is identified and when the item is removed, inventory is automatically adjusted and monitored through the management software. The Buster Toools vending system consists of a special robotized dispenser dedicated to tool storage, which functions in conjunction with specific management software. The Buster Tools dispenser contains up to 3200 items of various sizes. This is where the tools are housed. A mechanical arm moves and arranges the products within the dispenser. Although the system is constructed in a refined way, this does not means that it is not simple to use. Thanks to a 15” touch screen installed on the front of the dispenser, the operator is able to interact with the system in a natural and intuitive way. Access to the dispenser is governed by an acknowledgement procedure that prevents it from being used by unauthorized persons. Buster Tools is extremely quick and easy to load. The operator merely has to fit the articles into the cells: the dispenser identifies, catalogues and stores the product in a fully automatic way. The products are equally simple and fast to pick out. Single packs of tools (single picking) can be picked or several packs at the same time (multiple picking). The dispenser also handles tool returns. The system is flexible thanks to the modular construction of the dispenser, which enables several systems to be used at the same time in the integrated mode. This important feature allows the system to handle an unlimited number of products with several dispensers installed in series.
